MIMIS CREATIVE SPACE CIC

Mimi’s Creative Space CIC is a community-focused arts organisation dedicated to nurturing children’s creativity, confidence, and self-expression through high-quality visual arts experiences. Founded by Mary Yvonne (known as Mimi), a Primary Art & Design Teacher and Art Curriculum Lead, the organisation was created to give children access to enriching creative opportunities beyond the classroom.

Our work includes bespoke 1:1 art sessions, and holiday clubs, school workshops, and gallery trips that introduce young people to renowned artists, new techniques, and the joy of making art. We believe every child deserves a safe, inspiring space to explore their imagination, build skills, and grow their artistic voice.

At Mimi’s Creative Space CIC, we combine professional art teaching, child-centred practice, and community values to create long-lasting impact. Our sessions are designed to build confidence, improve wellbeing, and strengthen creative thinking – all while having fun.

We operate across London, delivering sessions in schools, community venues, family homes, and cultural spaces.

CONTACT US TO REGISTER YOUR CHILD

We are coming up to a year of private lessons for my two girls! They really look forward to their lessons at the end of a long week at school, where they can unwind and relax in the world of art! They have learnt a tremendous amount and have produced some amazing pieces. Mimi keeps it interesting by using different techniques and themes, so they never are bored! Mimi is a wonderful and engaging teacher. Thank you!

The hour my boys spend doing art with Mimi is their favourite time of the week! There is something very calming and soothing about their sessions and seeing them progress with their skills and gain appreciation to art is everything.

Mimi's art space can't recommend it highly enough. My daughter just started her 2nd term with Mimi. It's been very therapeutic for her, she loves her one to one session with her. She's so content and has produced some beautiful work of art. We are proud of her, it's been worth every penny.

My daughter has been seeing Mimi for the last year. Monday evenings are her favourite gets to have art that in her own words is "Super fun". Mimi keeps her engaged with the use of various mediums oil pastels, watercolours and acrylic paint. I love Mimi's enthusiasm and the fact that she chooses different artists/genres per week.

Mimi has been a true find! She has carefully developed my 8-year-old daughter’s interests and knowledge of art by following a bespoke programme with her over time. She is also patient, she is good at engaging a young child and she also is super organised/practical as she brings all the different materials they will need for each session. I also find a positive difference in my daughter’s confidence and wellbeing since we started the lessons. I would highly recommend Mimi’s art space for budding young artists and even older children or adults if you were interested.

My four-year-old is now in her second term of private art classes with Mimi. As a former art student, it’s been wonderful to hear her learning about various artists and learning how different people paint. She has already mastered the colour wheel and her progress has been astounding. Not only do we have the most beautiful artwork that she has created with Mimi at home, but she has also learnt so much. It’s helped her to learn to focus, listen and give her such a passion for art. I couldn’t recommend Mimi more; I know that my daughter will be taking classes with her for many years to come.
